Jennifer Spencer is an Assistant Professor and Extension Dairy Specialist at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Stephenville, TX. She is also a member of the American Dairy Science Association, American Society of Animal Science, and Dairy Cattle Reproductive Council since. In 2012, she completed her two bachelor’s degrees and immediately began her graduate studies completing her masters in 2014, and doctorate in 2018. Dr. Spencer’s extension responsibilities are to facilitate the linkage between research, producers, and consumers through holding trainings, educational events, and producing informative information about the dairy industry. Her interests include developing new technologies and management strategies to increase producer profitability and improve animal health. She also has been involved with developing educational information for consumers and youth in order to increase the public’s knowledge and interest about the dairy industry. Her goals include promoting the dairy through consumer education, maintaining and growing strong relationships with the Texas dairy organizations and supporting county agents and dairymen through the continuation and development of educational, research and outreach events.
